Brindleyplace celebrates Dippy’s arrival into the city this half term

To welcome Dippy to Birmingham, Brindleyplace has made sure he isn’t the only dinosaur in the city this half term with more Jurassic creatures arriving on the estate from 29 to 31 May.

Just five minutes’ walk from Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery where Dippy – the famous 70-foot long Diplodocus – will be on display, families will be able to continue their Jurassic trail at Brindleyplace by getting up close and personal with a stegosaurus, raptor and a prehistoric egg – perfect for a family photo opp – in Central Square.

Nathan Sanghera, Marketing and Events Executive at Brindleyplace, said: “We’re celebrating Dippy’s arrival in the city and helping bring the Jurassic period alive this half term at Brindleyplace, so that families and visitors can carry on the dinosaur adventure all day.

“From 29 to 31 May you’ll find Stan the stegosaurus and Rosie the raptor in Central Square, you’ll even be able to climb inside our giant dinosaur egg – so you can watch your children hatch into your own little dinosaur – just don’t forget the camera!

“There are even more prehistoric creatures to be found at SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham where you can become a dinosaur detective and take part in your own fossil dig as part of its Jurassic Seas experience before grabbing a bite to eat at one of our 25 bars, cafés and restaurants – trails and digs are all hungry work after all!”

Brindleyplace is counting down to a summer of free events, including the first ever Family Festival on Saturday 16 June as well as the Film Festival which starts on Monday 16 July.
