Canal & River Trust

Visitors can step off the busy streets of Birmingham and onto the canal walkways to be greeted by a sea of calm.

The canals were at the heart of the industrial revolution and remain at the heart of Birmingham’s national network and they continue to play a central role in helping everybody live a happier, healthier life. The Canal & River Trust are responsible for the canals across Birmingham, ensuring they are safe and relaxing space. They also host events and volunteering opportunities across the region.
