There’s still time to catch Nigel Slater’s Toast at the Crescent Theatre at Brindleyplace, running until 19 September.
Based on the celebrated food writer’s award-winning autobiography, Toast tells the story of Slater’s childhood in 1960s Wolverhampton through the tastes, smells and food that shaped his early years.
Combining humour, nostalgia and poignant moments, the production explores family, growing up and Slater’s developing love of food.
Brought to life by the Crescent Theatre’s talented amateur company, the production is another great example of the theatre and culture happening right here on our doorstep at Brindleyplace.
Catch Nigel Slater’s Toast at the Crescent Theatre before it finishes on 19 September.
