CONSCIENCE
Looking after our planet
Brindleyplace has set a target of carbon net zero by 2030. As the estate works towards that goal, a number of initiatives have been implemented to reduce its environmental impact.
Solar panels, smart meters, air quality monitoring and state-of-the art software analysis help reduce energy consumption, while waste materials are recycled and repurposed across the estate.
Brompton bike hire, EV charging and electric maintenance buggies also help to reduce reliance on fossil fuels for visitors, tenants and staff alike.
There are even rooftop hives installed on one of the estate’s buildings to help bring more pollination to the city centre. These provide a home to more than 80,000 honey bees, and the honey they make is sold to raise money for a local homeless charity.
Cycle friendly
Brindleyplace is a destination that welcomes cyclists, with an on-site transport hub, Brompton bike hire, and storage and changing facilities for tenants.

ENERGY SAVING
All of the buildings at Brindleyplace use state-of-the-art Demand Logic software to monitor and adjust energy consumption. To date, this has achieved year-on-year reductions in the amount of energy used by the estate.
