The place for

GIVING

Brindleyplace’s commitment to wellbeing extends well beyond the borders of its estate. For many years, it has engaged in fundraising activities to raise vital funds for local charities.

Every year, a charity partner is selected by staff and tenants, and together they raise between £60-100,000 for worthy causes in Birmingham.

Even the Brindley bees like to get in on the act: the honey they produce is sold in Brindleyplace’s on-site florist to further contribute to the fundraising efforts.

We recently worked with local charity Suited for Success to help them launch their ‘bus’ in Birmingham! The bus parked up in Central Square enabling tenants and visitors to the estate to learn more about the charity.

Suited for Success believes helping unemployed men and women with interview skills and a suitable interview outfit will give them the confidence they need to gain employment. They are now taking their shop and coaching skills on the road!

A double decker bus has been converted into a mini pop-up Suited for Success show room with an interview clothing provision boutique on the upper deck and interview and employment preparation coaching booths on the lower deck. There is also a computer station area where people can apply for jobs.

The Suited for Success bus will see the team working harder than ever to reach as many unemployed people across Birmingham as they can.
