It’s March which can mean only one thing – it’s almost Cherry Blossom time!
We’ll be celebrating the blossoming of the beautiful cherry trees in Oozells Square with several different activations, and we hope you’ll join us for some pink-petal-themed fun!
Cherry Blossom Day – Sunday 29th March
On Sunday 29th March from noon, we’ll be holding our annual Cherry Blossom Day and we can’t wait for you to join us in Oozells Square to celebrate our beautiful blossoms.
Ikon Gallery will be conducting art activities for the whole family to get involved in.
X, 10 Brindleyplace will be the venue for an indoor Cherry Blossom market with Japanese-inspired craft and fabric stalls selling gifts and artwork. Line up so far includes Japan Crafts, Grumpy Daruma Retro Kimono and The Sake Events Company.
Our event partner, the National Trust will be conducting a cherry blossom ‘trail’ and will also be helping children make ‘windsocks’ inspired by the beautiful blossoms.
This year we will also have an outdoor craft market in partnership with Blue Moon Markets. Expect all kinds of art and illustrations, ceramics and greeting cards.
All the shopping is bound to work up an appetite, and we’ll have pop-up street food trucks to satisfy your hunger and the lovely restaurants in Oozells Square and further afield will be open offering delicious treats.
