We’re changing the way markets look in Birmingham!

In a first for Birmingham and indeed the Midlands, Brindleyplace is pleased to announce that, from this month, we have engaged with London-based Urban Food Fest in a bid to make our monthly Brindley market stand out from the crowd!

Urban Food Fest operates high end, trendy street food markets, farmers markets and craft markets mainly around London with their flagship street food market on Shoreditch High Street in the East of the capital. There is even an Urban Food Fest pop-up deli in the Selfridges Foodhall in London.

Urban Food Fest features an ever-changing diverse range of gourmet global street food and dessert menus to ensure that there is something new and exciting for visitors every time they visit. Stallholders are hand-picked for each venue and there is always a good rotation of offerings.

Working with both established street food traders and endorsing new and innovative streetfood talent keeps things fresh – and any traders wanting to be involved with the Brindley Market are encouraged to send in details. And don’t be fooled by the name – in addition to lots of artisan food offerings, the Brindley market will continue to have a mix of stalls and will include the popular art and jewellery options alongside food to eat straightaway and deli options to take home.

Speaking of the collaboration, Matt Long, Head of Tenant Engagement and Placemaking at Brindleyplace, said:

“We like to lead the way at Brindleyplace with interesting and varied activations for our tenants and the public. Urban Food Fest brings an exciting new twist on the market concept which we are convinced everyone is going to appreciate and want to visit month after month!”

Laura from Urban Food Fest, said:

“We’re excited to bring Urban Food Fest to Birmingham and Brindleyplace seems the perfect location for it! The big open area of Central Square with its trees and fountains is the perfect backdrop for a great day out for our stallholders and visitors alike.”

Urban Food Fest has received first class national and international reviews, with features in numerous magazines and newspapers, as well as TV and radio coverage. Urban Food Fest also won the accolade of being Time Out London’s Number 1 event, being The Daily Telegraph’s Number 1 Top Thing To Do and Elle magazine states the markets are “unmissable and hi-low to its achingly cool core”.

So join us on 31st August for the next Brindley Market and see what the Urban Food Fest fuss is all about!
