Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham

The Conservative Party Conference will be held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham from 30 September to 3 October 2018.

Please be aware there will be traffic and pedestrian restrictions around the ICC area and this may affect your travel time to Brindleyplace. Please be assured that Brindleyplace and our car park, attractions, bars, restaurants and other businesses remain open for business as usual.

Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police are working together to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum for local businesses and residents, however there will be a number of temporary restrictions in place:

The mall through the ICC and the Brindleyplace bridge will be closed to the public. The closure will be in place from 6pm on Friday 28th September and will reopen from 7am on Thursday 4th October. Brindleyplace and it’s other entrances remain open as usual – access from the ICC can be gained via Broad Street.

Existing vehicle access restrictions between Gas Street and Paradise Circus remain in place.

Traffic along Broad Street to be diverted onto Granville Street and some bus services may additionally be diverted.

Where possible, please walk, cycle or use public transport throughout Birmingham city centre.
