The Brindleyplace Green Team work around the clock to ensure Brindleyplace is not only spotlessly clean but also as sustainable as possible. With new environmental initiatives being introduced all the time, these green champions are helping Brindleyplace lead the field as a prime example of an eco-friendly mixed use estate.
Lynsey Riley, Environmental Manager
As Environmental Manager, Lynsey is responsible for maintaining and improving environmental performance at Brindleyplace. Lynsey, joined the Brindleyplace team in 2004 working as part of the estate’s Building Team. In 2008 her interest in green initiatives led to her promotion to the Green Team and a further promotion in January 2012 to Environmental Manager.
Since 2008 Lynsey has been at the forefront of a raft of environmental initiatives across the estate including the introduction of the hugely important ISO 14001, the most recognised environmental management system available to businesses. By ensuring Brindleyplace is compliant with all the latest environmental legislation and through adhering to an ambitious Environmental Policy, Lynsey is helping Brindleyplace to constantly become greener with the support of the Brindleyplace onsite team.
A dedicated internal audit team works closely with Lynsey to ensure ISO 14001 compliance and continual improvement through scrutiny of procedures encompassed within the Environmental Management System. This is good news not only for the environment but also for businesses based in Brindleyplace who can utilise the estate’s initiatives to help build upon their own environmental policies.
