Ikon is the internationally renowned, award winning contemporary art gallery situated in a refurbished neo-gothic school building.
Ikon shows a continuous programme of changing exhibitions on two floors. It's programme is committed to reflecting cultural diversity.
A variety of media is represented including sound, video, mixed media, photography, painting, sculpture and installation.
Ikon is also home to Birmingham's best loved tapas restaurant and a specialist art bookshop.

Birminghams unique flagship National SEA LIFE Centre takes visitors on a spectacular undersea voyage with over 60 displays of freshwater and marine life, creating a wonderland for visitors of all ages.
The attraction boasts an enormous one million litre ocean tank. Complete with the worlds first 360 degree transparent tubular underwater walk-through tunnel, it houses giant green sea turtles and blacktip reef sharks.
New for 2007 - take part in the ultimate underwater quest to discover the sunken treasures of the legendary Lost City of Atlantis. A magical maze of ancient ruins winds its way around the lairs of secretive and mysterious sea creatures with a final encounter with the Giant Pacific Octopus that guards the city's buried treasures.
The centre offers a full programme of feeding demonstrations, talks and special presentations. There is disabled access throughout the centre which also features a soft play-area, a restaurant serving hot and cold food and a gift shop.
