Ladywood Community Project
Brindleyplace are using £10,000 from Dragonboat 2005 to boost inner city projects the Birmingham Inner Circle Credit Union and Ladywood Project, both based at Ladywood Community Centre.
Brindleyplace will be getting involved by providing the Community Centre with new equipment such as chairs, storage cupboards and lighting plus general maintenance such as new windows and shelves which the Brindleyplace maintenance team are helping to install.
A brand new art room is also planned with Brindleyplace staff volunteering their time to paint the room and provide equipment including a new sink, potters wheel, kiln and arts materials. Once the room is completed the marketing team are planning a media launch of the art room to which all the people who have contributed will be invited.
The Brindleyplace team will also be helping the Credit Union with strategic and planning advice on issues such as security and have supplied new computers.
If you would like to get involved or have anything you could donate to the Ladywood Project, please contact Tracey Lester on 0121 600 5824.
