Love in the Air
Love was in the air on Valentine's Day when Dave Wilson from Solihull proposed to girlfriend Samantha Kelly in Central Square.
In collaboration with resident radio station BRMB & Capital Gold, Brindleyplace launched an on air campaign to try and convince someone to come and propose down by the Urban Oasis in Central Square as part of the Valentine’s celebrations.
BRMB received several responses, however Dave Wilson’s text came over the most heartfelt to the team, stating that he would love to propose to soul-mate Samantha and so they called him up and told him the good news.
On the day, the BRMB news team along with DJ Tammy Gooding waited for Dave and unsuspecting Samantha to walk by and pretended to stop and interview Dave his thoughts about Valentine’s Day.
Dave then turned to girlfriend Samantha and popped the question to which she answered yes without hesitation. The crowds cheered and Samantha who had no previous suspicions, kept asking if it was for real.
To celebrate, Dave and Samantha were presented with a fantastic bouquet of flowers from Ethos Urban, plus dinner for two at the City Café and an overnight stay at Livingbase Serviced Apartments for Valentine’s night.
