Brindleyplace florist celebrates five years

Ethos, which has grown to become one of Birmingham’s best known florists, is celebrating five years at Brindleyplace.

The shop, which also sells giftware and cards as well as a delivery service and is located next to the Spar, is owned and run by Mark Gribben and its eye-catching arrangements can now be found in many of the city’s top homes, offices and hotels.

The Ethos brand started in Mark’s Edgbaston garage as a giftware home shopping catalogue more than a decade ago and then moved on to a florists and shop in Harborne before coming to Brindleyplace in 2002 where it has flourished into the most sought after florist in town.

Mark said: “It’s been a terrific five years here at Brindleyplace and we are looking forward to many more. During that time, through a combination of hard work and offering something completely different, we have seen the business really grow along with our reputation.

“I am extremely grateful to Brindleyplace for inviting me to open here five years ago and the unstinting support they have shown me ever since. I also thanks all my colleagues here at Ethos whose continued energy and creativity make this company what it is.”

Gary Taylor, director of Argent which developed and manages Brindleyplace, said: “Ethos has been a real asset for Brindleyplace and the quality and originality of the service it provides fits perfectly with what we are trying to achieve at Brindleyplace.

“Behind every great business is a great team and Ethos is no exception. Mark and his team have worked extremely hard to achieve the success they have and they have always done it with a smile on their faces. They are well valued members of the Brindleyplace community and we wish them every success in the years to come.”
