Birmingham Cutting C02 Conference

Members of the green team attended the Birmingham Cutting C02 Conference held at the end of January.

The conference was the culmination of nine leadership groups that had met over the last three months of 2007 to agree key priorities to enable Birmingham to commit to and achieve its objective of reducing carbon emissions in the City by 60 per cent by 2026.

At the conference, Sandy Taylor, Head of Climate Change and Sustainability for Birmingham City Council, stressed the importance of Birmingham leading by example to achieve this target.  In a show of hands across the room, the proposal was received with enthusiasm.

One clear message emerged from the conference - every individual has the capability to make a difference!  Log on to www.birminghamcuttingco2.co.uk to learn more and make your pledges to support this initiative.
