The fifth and sixth major civic squares in Birmingham, following on from St. Philip's Square, Victoria Square, Chamberlain Square and Centenary Square are:

Main Square
Designed by Robert Townshend (Townshend Landscape Architects) following a design competition. His plan for the square includes a 90 metre tree-lined area which may be used for open-air performing arts programmes. The square is a similar size to Victoria Square. All pedestrian routes across Brindleyplace meet up in this area.

Oozells Square Again, designed by Robert Townshend, is adjacent to the main square. It features a ream of still water running diagonally which is lined by blossoming cherry trees. Installed in the square is a series of stone sculptured seats and a pergola designed by Paul de Monchaux.
