The annual Birmingham Chilli Festival will be returning to Brindleyplace on Saturday 19th September.  Now in its 5th year, this year’s theme is centred around our 20th Anniversary (yes can you believe it, we’re 20!!!) and will feature another jam-packed schedule of live music and street performances on the Saturday, alongside the popular Chilli Produce Market, which arrives the day before on Friday 18th.

The Chilli Produce Market, in association with Sketts, will let you get a taste of spice from all around the world…right here on your doorstep in Brindleyplace. So for those amongst you who have heat-loving taste buds, there will be plenty of opportunities to grab lunch or takeaway on the go! From tasty sauces and preserves to curries and marinades, the markets will feature a range of stalls offering a selection of chilli inspired food, drinks & gifts – either for you to enjoy on the day or take home for your family & friends.

To tie in with our 20th Anniversary, all festival goers will also be tasked with the ’20 chilli challenge’ where they’ll be encouraged to sample something hot & spicy at each of the stalls for a chance to win an amazing prize!

The most exciting hour of the Birmingham Chilli Festival, is the popular chilli eating competition from 3.00pm – 4.00pm on the Saturday, which will see up to 20 brave people compete against each other to see who can eat some of the hottest chillies on the planet.  Can the men reclaim the crown from last year’s first female winner, Lou Witterick we hear you say? Come along on the 19th September 2015 to find out.

The festival and markets are open from 11.00am – 6.00pm on both days – so will you dare to take the Chilli Challenge?

Please keep checking the schedule nearer the event date for the latest updates. Entries for the chilli eating competition will also be accepted very soon!

We look forward to seeing you there!
