Our Environment
Brindleyplace is proud to hold ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management. ISO 14001 provides guidance that helps us to develop a framework for the implementation of an environmental management system at Brindleyplace.
It is through this programme that all of our Green Team initiatives are delivered, monitored and regularly assessed. Running this programme ensures that Brindleyplace has an auditable system and can demonstrate best practice through certification to ISO 14001, the most recognised environmental management system available to businesses.
ISO 14001 will provide Brindleyplace, its users, and its tenants with a raft of benefits including:
- Cost savings
- Improved business practices
- Improved communication, both internally and externally
- Added value to our tenants through the provision of advice and guidance on their own environmental management systems
- Once Brindleyplace has its Environmental Management System in place tenants can apply for BS8555, a standard aimed at smaller businesses, so that they have their own environmental standard, for as little as £350 per company, using the Brindleyplace template.
- Improved reputation by sharing best practice throughout Birmingham and supporting Birmingham’s carbon reduction initiatives
- Added value for other Argent sites through the development and roll-out of the Brindleyplace model elsewhere.
