Ikon presents the first UK exhibition of work by Swiss artists Andres Lutz and Anders Guggisberg; Impressions from the Interior. A survey of video works, painting, installation and sculptural pieces, made since the two began their artistic partnership in 1996, and including much new work made in situ, it exemplifies Lutz and Guggisberg’s funny melancholy, their observations on an absurd universe.
An example of the work, Population (2007) pictured left, will feature approximately 200 birds both inside and outside the gallery building.
An artists’ book, a selection of black and white photographs made and modified by Lutz and Guggisberg, accompanies this exhibition.
