Built upon a historic district of wharves and warehouses fronting the canal network, the area has deep links with the Industrial Revolution and one its most pioneering figures, James Brindley.

Today, it is one of the most visited and commercially successful areas of Birmingham with 4 million visitors a year and more than 1.1 million sq ft of unique office space across eleven buildings. Attractions include the Ikon Gallery, National Sea Life Centre, Crescent Theatre, Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and more than 30 leisure and hospitality operators. Businesses include Deutsche Bank, Deloitte, Michael Page, Unity Trust Bank and many more.

Since 2023, the majority of the Brindleyplace estate has been owned by Praxis, a UK-based real estate investor and manager known for embracing measures to meet net zero. With a national portfolio of assets, Praxis has a peerless track record of exceptional investment performance.

The remaining assets on the estate are managed by Blue Noble, BlackRock, CBRE Investment Management, Ergo and Macquarie Asset Management.
