The Winter Mix Magazine

Welcome to the winter edition of the mix.

Looking back at 2012, we think everyone would agree that it has been a fantastic year for Birmingham and the UK as a whole.

We’ve had great success with the Olympics and Paralympics – even a big up for the city from Bolt himself – and street parties galore to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Brindleyplace has also hosted a number of fantastic events this year – including our outdoor film festival, Dragonboat race and chilli festival – and we would like to thank everyone who has been involved and shown their support, helping to make these events such a success.

It’s hard to believe Christmas is just around the corner but we’ve got a feeling this is going to be one to remember. To ensure 2012 goes out with a bang, we will be hosting some of our biggest ever Christmas events – including Santas running through the estate, our annual Christmas light switch on and a charity carol service to get us in the festive mood.

Read on to find out what delicious treats will be on the menus of our favourite restaurants at Brindleyplace and how to cook up a tasty chocolate fondant, courtesy of Café Ikon at Ikon Gallery.

We will also be catching up with Phil Riley from Free Radio and finding out what song is his all-time favourite Christmas number one! Not to mention an extra special competition with prizes from across the estate.

We hope you enjoy this issue of the mix and have a wonderful festive period.
