JLS Complete Stellar Line Up

Following three weeks of teaser announcements, the brmb Live 2011 line-up has been revealed. Seven of music’s biggest stars will grace the stage at the LG Arena on 26 November, giving pop fans the ultimate live chart show.

The brmb Live 2011 line-up includes two of the UK’s hottest boybands, JLS and The Wanted, who have both had phenomenal chart success this year. Aston, Marvin, JB and Oritse will perform their some of the biggest hits including most recent Number 1 ‘She Makes Me Wanna’, which marked a fifth chart-topping single for the boys. The Wanted’s Max, Siva, Jay, Tom and Nathan will follow suit and bring their pop-tastic tracks to the event. This is a chance for fans to see both bands ahead of their scheduled tours, which will hit the LG Arena next March.

Also joining the brmb Live 2011 line up is one of the biggest acts of this year, Ed Sheeran, who is about to release his third single ‘Lego House’, following on from the success of ‘The A Team’ and ‘You Need Me, I Don’t Need You’. 2011 has seen Sheeran rocket to the top of the charts and headline the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury, in addition to performances at Reading Festival and Bestival. Fellow singer-songwriter Pixie Lott has also been confirmed for the 26 November, who has made a welcomed return to the music scene with her new album ‘Young Foolish Happy’. The first track from the album ‘All About Tonight’ went straight in at Number 1 and set the tone for her 2011 chart domination.

The LG Arena will also get a touch of ‘The X Factor’ courtesy of last year’s winner Matt Cardle, who will be gracing the arena stage for the first time since appearing in the 2010 X Factor Live tour back in February. Matt, who had a Christmas Number 1 with ‘When We Collide’ and is back with his Gary Barlow-penned track ‘Run For Your Life’, will also be joined by fellow finalist Cher Lloyd.

Finishing off the brmb Live 2011 bill is another rising star, Emeli Sande, who had a big summer hit with ‘Heaven’ following collaborations with the likes of Chipmunk and Wiley. She is also on her way to another big hit, featuring on Professor Green’s next track ‘Read All About It’.

Tickets are already selling fast for brmb Live 2011 following the success of last year’s event, which featured the likes of The Script, Example, McFly, Olly Murs and James Blunt. They are on sale now priced at £34.95 and £29.95 and are available from The Ticket Factory: www.theticketfactory.com or 0844 338 8000. There is also a hospitality package available from amplify for £74.95, which will give visitors priority parking, access to a private bar and a pre-show meal, to make their experience even more special.

brmb Live 2011 is a partnership between the LG Arena and radio station brmb; along with its sister stations Beacon, Wyvern and Mercia. The show is supported by Westfield Merryhill who, along with the world’s leading technology store Best Buy, are this year’s partners. For more information on the show, visit www.live2011.co.uk.

New Faces at Deloitte

Sixty graduates, nearly half of which have come from local universities, have started work at Deloitte’s Birmingham office.

The graduates join more than a thousand others across the UK starting their careers at Deloitte this Autumn, a record number for the business advisory firm.

Working across the firm’s audit, tax and enterprise risk services divisions the graduates will each undertake a practical and theoretical training programme, ensuring a thorough understanding of the business alongside development of key skills.

Rachel Coleman, who studied Maths and French at the University of Birmingham was one of 700 applicants that applied to the Birmingham office, and is now in her fourth week. “I was absolutely thrilled when I heard that I had been successful. It really is a worrying time for graduates with many not finding a job after University. Good opportunities like this are limited and competition is fierce.”

Jonathan Dodworth, Partner at Deloitte in the West Midlands, comments; “Recruiting the best people is integral to our continuing success as a business, and I am delighted with the calibre of graduates that are starting with us this year.

“They’re joining at an exciting time for us here in the West Midlands and I look forward to seeing their careers develop at Deloitte.”

Twenty-eight of the 60 graduates come from local universities; 16 from the University of Birmingham, nine from the University of Warwick, two from Aston University, and one from Birmingham City University.
