Dragonboat Festival

Brindleyplace Dragonboat Festival 2010 will take place on Saturday 26th June from 10am until 4pm, in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The estate’s biggest event of the year incorporates up to 20 teams in Chinese Dragonboats racing up the canal in a series of heats; click here for footage of last year’s event.
The event will be hosted by BRMB and throughout the day there will be a variety of Chinese themed entertainment including Lion Dancers, balloon modeling, lantern making workshops and a children’s art mural. There will be tasty treats for sale from Tin Tin Chinese Restaurant and live music at the Bandstand from 4.30pm. A full timetable of activities can be found here.
