Reclaim your lunch hour at Brindleyplace

Research by Britain’s largest convenience store group, SPAR, which has a busy franchise in Brindleyplace, has revealed that the traditional British lunch ‘hour’ has shrunk to an all time low.

On average we now take just 35 minutes and 39 seconds to enjoy our lunch break.  Some seven million of us skip it altogether and 70 per cent don’t even leave our desks!   While the results give Britain’s bosses over £22.66 billion of FREE manpower each year, here at Brindleyplace we believe taking a lunch hour helps improve concentration and boosts productivity.

For those keen to get away from their desks and reclaim a quality lunch hour we’ve compiled a list of Brindleyplace restaurants where you can enjoy a sit down meal within the hour…

Slug and Lettuce – too tired from the weekend to make up your Monday lunchbox?  A trip to Slug and Lettuce will fill the gap with 50 per cent off lunch on Mondays!

Handmade Burger Co. and Mash House – the perfect locations to indulge in traditional comfort food.  Both venues are stripped back and relaxed and they even do take-out if you really can’t afford to be away from your desk.  What’s more both venues are running special offers for Mother’s Day.

All Bar One – this busy bar offers a great range of tapas ideal for a quick lunchtime bite and perfect for sharing with friends or colleagues.

Piccolino – indulge in a slice if Italy in your lunch hour.   Currently tempting customers with its new thin crust pizza which is made from scratch daily in full view of diners and is perfect for those guests looking for a light bite.

Pitcher and Piano – speedy service and a great range of small plates, sandwiches, salads and burgers.  The munch for less menu offers food and a drink for £5 on weekdays (see pitcherandpiano.com for details).

Tin Tin Chinese Restaurant – an impressive array of Chinese dishes turned around with swift service.  A takeaway menu is also available.

There are plenty more great restaurants in Birmingham.  If you’ve got a recommendation for a fast and fabulous lunchtime meal please post it below!
